The Bangladesh army late this month revealed that it foiled a coup attempt against the democratically elected government, led by Sheikh Hasina. Reportedly, many of the leaders of the extremist organizations such as JMB and Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI) in Bangladesh are Afghan veterans… There are also reports that the extremist groups in Bangladesh supported the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), provided them shelter and arms…
