In the West, there is almost nothing left of the classic division of political parties and movements into left-wing and right-wing ones.

The New York Times, that notorious bastion of reactionary right-wing thought, has come under fire from its own contributors for insufficient enthusiasm for the (LGB)T agenda. In an open letter first published Wednesday and now signed by more than 1,000 Times contributors—not to mention 23,000 others—a collective of gender radicals accuses the Gray Lady of “editorial bias in the newspaper’s reporting on transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming people.”

A friend makes maps, colorful graphic maps of mostly Washington DC neighborhoods. She sells them, often framed, by the bushel at farmer’s markets and through her own shop. She often asks people where they live, but never how they live. Her service — the map — is neutral to whom one is married to, what religion they practice, which party they support. Everyone is welcome to buy a map, and all the maps are the same.

When it comes to sport, Biden has proposed amendments to Title IX regulations to clarify that sex includes “gender identity.” This means that male athletes like Lia Thomas can compete alongside women. In the U.K., on the other hand, sports like rugby and cycling have taken steps to reinforce single sex participation.
