The forces of democracy should be on vigilant guard against dangerous far-right cults and political movements today as much as they were during World War II, Wayne Madsen writes.

Ironically, according to the most recent Pew Research Center poll, while close to half the country has heard of QAnon, the majority of them are Democrats. Awareness of Q increased dramatically from 23% in March to 47% in September.

American political culture is sick from delusion, paranoia and abjectly hopeless leadership. Throw lots of military-grade weaponry into the mix and that makes for carnage.

Americans are now witnessing a new era of conspiracy mongering and fake news via the rise of the fringe “QAnon” movement, among a plethora of paranoid claims that Covid-19 is an elite-fueled hoax and that it was secretly created by powerful people working in the shadows.
